Overview: Starting your CUET preparation as early as two years? Our prep plan is your best bet!

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) demands meticulous preparation. With 2-year preparation plan for CUET, you can build a strong foundation and excel in the exam.

Let's delve into a strategic plan!

How do you start your CUET Preparation Journey?

A two-year preparation timeline is ideal as it allows you to balance your college/ school curriculum with CUET preparation. It provides enough time to cover all subjects systematically, identify strengths and weaknesses, and practice extensively without feeling rushed.

This approach also enables you to handle board exams and CUET preparation simultaneously.

CUET Preparation alongside your Class 11 Curriculum

As per CUET's previous year's papers, it is noticed that while the main focus for exams is the Class 12 syllabus, a strong foundation from Class 11 is essential. Pay attention to domain subjects taught in class 11.

Know your Subjects

We assume that you are already aware of the subjects you plan to take on the CUET exam as per the exam pattern. Select no more than six subjects, one of which must be language.

Basics of the CUET

  1. Sections in CUET: CUET Exam Pattern includes Language I, Language II, Domain-Specific Subjects, and General Aptitude.
  2. Marking Scheme: Understand the weightage of each section and type of questions through the CUET Marking Scheme.
  3. Syllabus: Familiarize yourself with the entire CUET syllabus, thus knowing what to cover in all three sections.

1. First Year of Preparation

The first year is crucial for conceptual clarity and subject mastery. Focus on your college classes to build a strong foundation in domain subjects, and dedicate specific study time for language and the General Test

Year 1: Foundation Building

  • Allocate 2 hours daily for Language I and II: Note that some colleges take only 50% of your language score, so allocate your time accordingly.
  • Dedicate 2.5 hours to Domain-Specific Subjects on a daily basis: Focus on domain subjects of class 11 and class 12 in the respective years, helping build a solid foundation to crack CUET.
  • Spend 1 hour daily on General Aptitude: Not everyone needs to take the General Test (GT). It depends on the college and course you've applied for. However, top universities like Delhi University, JNU, etc. recommend it.
