What Are the Factors Affecting CUET Cut Off Marks?

Here are the things that influence the cut-off for CUET:

  • Test Difficulty: The level of difficulty of the CUET paper. The cutoff may be lower in a year when the exam is especially difficult, and vice versa.
  • Number of Test Takers: How many students took the CUET exam? Because there is more competition, the cutoff is typically raised when there are more candidates.
  • Candidates' Performance: How did all the CUET test takers perform? The candidates' overall exam results may impact the CUET cutoff, which will rise if the majority of applicants receive high scores.
  • Available Seats: How many seats are available in the CUET participating universities? The quantity of seats available in the participating programs and colleges directly impacts the cutoff of CUET. A higher cutoff usually means fewer seats.
  • Reservation: Quotas for different categories, including SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and PwD, may impact the CUET cutoff for different groups.
