Overview: Preparing for the CUET exam and wondering if you need to pass all subjects individually? Read this article first, then begin your preparations.

Unlike traditional exams, where you might worry about passing each subject, CUET operates differently.

The key to success in CUET lies in understanding how your scores are calculated and how they impact your chances of admission.

This article explains how CUET scoring works, the importance of cut-off marks, and what it means for your overall performance.

Is it necessary to pass all subjects in the CUET exam?

In CUET, the concept of "passing" or "failing" does not apply as it would in traditional university exams. Instead, the focus is on achieving the required cut-off marks for the specific course and university you are applying to.

  • There are colleges considering only 50% of your language marks and few colleges might not require general test scores. Hence it is extremely important to understand the CUET exam pattern for the respective course and college you apply for.
  • Your performance in CUET is assessed based on the total marks you score across the relevant sections of the exam.
  • Different universities and courses have different cut-off requirements, which means your goal should be to score high enough to meet or exceed these CUET cut off scores
