The CUET exam was administered across 90 universities the previous year, with many prominent Indian colleges depending on CUET scores for admission. CUET will include around 109 colleges this year, including Delhi University. To begin your CUET journey, you must first comprehend the CUET DU exam pattern.

CUET DU Exam Pattern 2025

Understanding the CUET DU exam pattern and syllabus is important not only for preparing for the CUET but also for selecting the proper subjects for CUET registration. Your application may be rejected if you choose the wrong subjects or exam patterns. This article will examine the exam pattern for undergraduate (UG) programs.  

General CUET DU Exam Pattern 2025 

The CUET DU exam pattern has changed slightly from the previous year. Before you begin your preparations, examine the changes in the pattern. 

Note:  

  • This exam is divided into 3 sections– Language Paper (1A and 1B), Domain Paper and general Test. 
  • Language Paper (1A and 1B): You will be asked questions based on 13 Indian languages in Section 1A and 20 languages in section 1B (Mix bag of regional Indian languages and Foreign languages). 40 questions are to be attempted out of 50 in each language. 
  • NTA will test your knowledge of the subjects studied in Class XI and Class XII in the Domain-specific Test of CUET. There are 27 such subjects included in this section. Pick and choose from the list as per your stream. 35/40 questions to be attempted out of 45/50.  
  • The general resembles the most heard aptitude test, but it is a level simpler than the ones you have seen or heard in IPMAT, NPAT, or JEE Main B.Arch. 50 Questions to be attempted out of 60.

Changes in the CUET DU Exam Pattern 2025:  

The candidate may select up to 10 subjects/languages from the list above, divided into three sections. Depending on the number of candidates and subject choices, the exam will be held over many days in three shifts.

The Ministry of Education (MoE) has established that the Common University Entrance Test 2025 will consist of four sections: 

  • Section 1 A: 13 Languages 
  • Section 1 B: 19 Languages 
  • Section 2: Domain-specific test
  • Section 3: General test

For example, students who are interested in studying for their B.Sc (Hons.) Botany must write Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as part of their coursework.
